What is wrong

On certain trucks, when the manual override is used to switch off the daytime running lamps (DRLs), the lights may not turn on again when you start driving. Canadian regulations require that if DRLs are manually turned off, they must turn on again when you start driving.

Why it matters

Driving without daytime running lights could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to update the vehicle software.

What is wrong

On certain trucks, the fittings for the air brake lines on the firewall pass-through plate may have been damaged during assembly. As a result, an air line could detach from the fitting. If this happens, the parking brake could apply without warning. Note: The service brakes are not affected by this problem.

Why it matters

A parking brake that applies suddenly while driving could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Volvo Trucks will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the fittings on the pass-through plate. They will be repaired or replaced, as required.

Volvo will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect the pedal plate. If a crack is found, the plate will be replaced.
