What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the power transfer unit (PTU) could become damaged and fail. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels and/or the vehicle could move when it's parked and the parking brake isn't applied. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a two-speed PTU.

A loss of power to the wheels or a parked vehicle that moves suddenly could create the risk of an injury and/or a crash.

FCA Canada will notify owners in writing. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the transmission oil cooler hose may not have been manufactured correctly. As a result, the hose could burst and leak transmission fluid.

Why it matters

A transmission fluid leak could create the risk of fire.

What the dealer will do

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the transmission oil cooler hoses. The hoses will be replaced, if necessary.
