What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the wrong bumper backup lamp assembly may have been installed. As a result, the backup lamps may be the wrong colour when the vehicle is reversing. Canadian regulations require the backup lamps to be white.

Why it matters

Backup lamps that aren't the correct colour could cause others not to recognize when a vehicle is backing up and could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the bumper backup lamp assembly.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the connector for the driver and/or passenger-front seat belt buckle sensor(s) could fail and cause the seat airbag(s) to deploy with too much force. Note: This problem would cause the airbag warning light to display on the instrument panel or the seat belt reminder chime and warning light to stay on, even if you're buckled.

Why it matters

An airbag that deploys with too much force could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

What the dealer will do

FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the connector for the driver and/or passenger-front seat belt buckle sensor(s).
