Transport Canada recall 2026326 · manufacturer campaign HQ72

2 July 2026

Transport Canada lists: Odyssey 2018–2020

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Honda dealer during recall O38 (Transport Canada recall no. 2020-345) may not be effective. As a result, certain vehicles require a second repair. On certain vehicles, moisture could enter the rearview camera and cause it not to work properly. If this happens, the rearview image may be distorted or not display at all. Also, the camera image may not appear in certain bright light conditions. Note: This recall replaces recall O38 (Transport Canada recall no. 2020-345). Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.

Why it matters

A rearview camera image that doesn't display properly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the rearview camera.

If the weight sensor fails, the SRS warning light would turn on in the instrument panel.

Why it matters

An airbag system that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

What the dealer will do

The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger-front seat weight sensor.

Transport Canada lists: Honda 2018–2020 · Odyssey 2018–2020

What is wrong

On certain vans converted for wheelchair access by BraunAbility, the fuel tank can be overfilled and fuel can enter the charcoal canister. If this happens, fuel can leak from the canister onto nearby components and the ground. If there is evidence of a fuel leak, the dealer will install a new fuel tank assembly that has a different fill limit vent valve. The dealer will also replace the charcoal canister. A warning label will be applied on or near the fuel filler neck advising you not to overfill or "top off" the fuel tank.

11 April 2019

Transport Canada lists: Odyssey 2018–2019

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a low-voltage condition caused by a loose battery connection or a low battery could cause a problem with the Transmission Control Module (TCM). If this happens, the transmission could shift to Park (P) while driving. This could cause damage to the transmission park pawl. As a result, when the transmission is shifted to P, the vehicle could move if the parking brake is not applied.

Why it matters

A damaged transmission could allow a parked vehicle to move if the parking brake is not applied. This could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Honda will mail a letter to owners asking them to take their vehicle to a Honda Automobile dealer. The dealer will ensure the battery terminals are secure and update the TCM with the latest software. If the parking gear cannot hold the vehicle in Park without application of the electronic parking brake, the transmission will be replaced.

27 June 2017

Transport Canada lists: Odyssey 2018

What is wrong

Certain vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 208 - Occupant Protection in Frontal Impacts. During vehicle assembly, an outer seat belt position seat belt tongue may have been incorrectly installed onto the third row seating centre seat belt assembly. This would result in the seat belt tongue not latching when inserted in the centre seat belt buckle, and therefore would be non-compliant with the standard. In the event of a crash, an unlatched seatbelt may increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will inspect the third row centre seat belt for the correct tongue and replace as necessary.
