What is wrong

On certain motorcycles, the shift arm may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the fasteners that secure the shift arm could loosen and detach. If this happens, the shift arm could fall off and you would not be able to change gears.

Why it matters

Not being able to change gears could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a shift arm that detaches from the motorcycle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the shift arm.
