Transport Canada lists: GV 60 2023–2024

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the exterior stainless-steel trim above the windshield may not be attached properly. As a result, the trim could loosen and detach from the vehicle.

Why it matters

Trim that detaches from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Genesis will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the exterior stainless-steel trim above the windshield.

17 July 2025

Transport Canada lists: G 90 2023–2025 · GV 60 2023–2025

What is wrong

Transport Canada recall 2024701 · manufacturer campaign R0272

18 November 2024

Transport Canada lists: G 80 2023–2024 · GV 60 2023–2024 · GV 70 2023–2025 · Ioniq 5 2022–2024 · and 1 more

What is wrong

Over time, the integrated charging control unit (ICCU) could become damaged. As a result, the 12 V battery will not charge and could cause the vehicle to enter a reduced power mode. If this happens, and you continue to drive the vehicle, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2024-174. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. This problem will cause a warning light to turn on and warning messages to display before any loss of power. For the Genesis GV70 and G80 models, only the electric versions (EV) are affected.

Why it matters

A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Hyundai will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the ICCU and ICCU fuse.

Transport Canada recall 2024447 · manufacturer campaign R0267

7 August 2024

Transport Canada lists: GV 60 2023–2024 · GV 80 2025

What is wrong

Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image not to display. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing.

Why it matters

A rearview camera image that doesn't display properly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

To reduce the safety risk, Genesis advises you to limit the reverse speed to below 10 km/h until the recall repairs are completed. Genesis will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the rearview camera system software.
