Transport Canada recall 2025689 · manufacturer campaign 25SD9

12 December 2025

Transport Canada lists: E 2022–2025

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the left-rear axle shaft may not have been installed properly. As a result, the axle shaft splines could wear. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. Additionally, if the vehicle is parked and the parking brake isn't applied, the vehicle could roll away. Note: This recall also affects certain incomplete vehicles.

Why it matters

A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A parked vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash.

What the dealer will do

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the left-rear axle shaft. If the axle shaft requires replacement, the dealer will also inspect and, as necessary, replace primary drive unit components.

High Voltage

Transport Canada recall 2025197 · manufacturer campaign 25S36

11 April 2025

Transport Canada lists: E 2024–2025

What is wrong

On certain chassis cab vehicles, water could enter the high-voltage battery and cause a short circuit. Note: This recall only affects certain E-Transit chassis cab vehicles with extended range batteries.

Why it matters

A short circuit in the high-voltage battery can create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off.

What the dealer will do

To reduce the safety risk, Ford advises that you should park your vehicle outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures until the recall repairs have been completed. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the high-voltage battery. If no damage is found, the dealer will add drainage holes to the side rails of the high-voltage battery tray.
