Transport Canada recall 2024678 · manufacturer campaign N242474790

7 November 2024

Transport Canada lists: Envision 2024

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the brake lamps may flash during certain braking events when the antilock braking system (ABS) is activated. Canadian regulations require the brake lamps to stay on constantly while braking.

Why it matters

Brake lamps that don't work properly could create confusion and cause others not to recognize when a vehicle is braking. This could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the body control module software.

Transport Canada recall 2024451 · manufacturer campaign N242466850

8 August 2024

Transport Canada lists: Envision 2024

What is wrong

This recall is for certain all-weather floor liners that were installed before delivery or sold as a dealer accessory. On certain vehicles, the accelerator pedal could get stuck under the floor liner. If this happens, the vehicle may not slow down when you release the accelerator pedal.

Why it matters

A stuck accelerator pedal could cause an unintended acceleration and increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

To reduce the safety risk, General Motors advises you to check for interference with the accelerator pedal and to remove the driver's all-weather floor liner until the recall repairs have been completed. General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, modify and/or reimburse the driver's all-weather floor liner.

Transport Canada recall 2024060 · manufacturer campaign N232431050

1 February 2024

Transport Canada lists: Zevo 400 2024 · Zevo 600 2023–2024 · Envision 2021–2024 · CT 4 2020–2024 · and 15 more

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the lower beam headlamps not to turn on as it becomes dark outside if the multi-function switch is in the "OFF" or "PARKING LAMP" position. This could also cause the daytime running lamps (DRLs) to turn off when the vehicle is moving. As a result, the vehicles may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations.

Why it matters

Headlamps and/or DRLs that don't turn on could reduce visibility, make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the body control module (BCM)software.
