Transport Canada issued 9 vehicle recalls in the week of 3 August 2026, covering about 27,281 vehicles in Canada. The systems involved: electrical, structure, suspension, visual system, lights and instruments, seats and restraints.
Electrical
6 August 2026Transport Canada recall 2026386
On certain trucks, the chassis and cab wiring harnesses may not have been routed properly. As result, the wiring could become damaged by contact with nearby components and cause a short circuit. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels, the electronic parking brake could stop working, the tail lamps may not work, the airbag warning light may turn on, transmission shifting issues could occur, or the combination switch may not work. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2026-158. Trucks that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.
A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. A loss of power to the wheels and the other issues could increase the risk of a crash.
What the dealer will do: Isuzu will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace the wiring harnesses. The dealer will also ensure that the wiring harnesses are secured properly.

Structure

On a small number of RV trailers, the auto-leveling jack lockout may not be wired properly. As a result, the phone application could allow the auto-leveling jacks to extend while the trailer is being towed.
Leveling jacks that extend while driving could create a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash.
What the dealer will do: Jayco will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to correct the wiring in the trailer brake connector.

Suspension

On certain trucks, the oil reservoirs may not be properly welded to the shock absorbers. As a result, the welds could corrode and fail and cause the reservoir(s) to detach from the vehicle.
An oil reservoir that detaches from the vehicle could create a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash.
What the dealer will do: Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and replace the affected rear shock absorbers, as necessary.

On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the combination meter in the instrument cluster not to display when the vehicle is started. As a result, the turn signals and hazard lights may not work. Additionally, you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including warning lights, malfunction tell-tales and seat belt reminders. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 7-inch display.
Turn signals that don't work may cause a person not to recognize when the driver intends to turn or change lanes and could increase the risk of a crash. Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display could also increase the risk of a crash. A seat belt warning that doesn't work may not remind you to buckle your seat belt. Not wearing your seat belt can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
What the dealer will do: Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the combination meter software.

On certain trucks, the center roof marker light connector(s) may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the center roof marker light(s) may not work.

What the dealer will do: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the center roof marker light(s).

On certain vehicles, the rear left and right outboard seat belts could become twisted and may not retract correctly. As a result, the seat belts may not work properly in a crash.

What the dealer will do: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the rear outboard seat belt retractors.

On certain trucks, the fasteners for the steering gearbox may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the fasteners could loosen and cause a loss of steering control.
A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash.
What the dealer will do: Mack will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace and tighten the steering gearbox fasteners. Any damaged parts will be replaced.

On certain motorcycles, a problem inside the engine could cause it to stall while riding.
A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.
