Transport Canada recall 2015375 · manufacturer campaign RVXX1504

17 August 2015

Transport Canada lists: Vah 2013–2016

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, The cut out in the trim panel may restrict the trailer hand brake handle from returning to the off position, causing the trailer service brakes to drag. This could cause the wheel end to overheat, potentially catch fire and/or cause a tire blowout, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will inspect and replace the trim panel if necessary.

Transport Canada recall 2014528 · manufacturer campaign RVXX1405

20 November 2014

Transport Canada lists: Vah 2011–2014 · VNL 2011–2014

What is wrong

On certain vehicles with a governed road speed setting of 113 kilometers per hour (70MPH) or more that are outfitted with 295/60 R22.5 XZA2 Energy Tires and used in an auto transport application (i.e. truck modified with frame mounted to the truck to carry automobiles over the truck's front axle), a premature tire failure may occur on the front or steer axle as a result of certain operating conditions (high speeds, load and road temperature). A tire failure could cause the driver to lose vehicle control, which may result in a crash causing injury and/or property damage.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the tires and set the road speed governor.

Transport Canada recall 2013221 · manufacturer campaign RVXX1303

25 June 2013

Transport Canada lists: Vah 2007–2014 · VHD 2007–2014 · VNL 2007–2014 · VNM 2007–2014 · and 1 more

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the secondary clutch disengagement switch may have been omitted during vehicle assembly or, in some instances, removed during servicing. As such, primary switch failure would cause the automated manual transmission’s clutch to remain engaged when the brakes are applied. This could increase stopping distances, possibly resulting in a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will install a micro-switch at the brake pedal and update the software to run a diagnostic on the switch during engine start-up.
