What is wrong

On certain vehicles, there may be an electrical component fault. This could cause a problem with charging of the auxiliary battery. If this happens, warning lights and messages will display on the instrument panel and audible chimes will sound. If the vehicle continues to be operated with this problem, it could lose power to the drive wheels.

Why it matters

A loss of power to the drive wheels could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Toyota will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect the DC-DC converter. It will be replaced with a new one if necessary.
