26 January 2023

Transport Canada lists: Panamera 2017–2018

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, water could leak into the external coolant pump for the climate control system and cause a short circuit. If this happens, the pump and wiring could overheat and melt.

Why it matters

A short circuit can create the risk of a fire.

What the dealer will do

Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to replace the external coolant pump. Additionally, the connections for the pump will be inspected and replaced, if necessary.

Transport Canada recall 2022487 · manufacturer campaign ANB4

31 August 2022

Transport Canada lists: Boxster 2001–2004, 2013–2021 · Cayenne 2003–2018 · Cayman 2013–2021 · Macan 2015–2022 · and 2 more

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, covers were not installed over the horizontal headlamp adjusters. As a result, the headlamps may be adjusted horizontally. Canadian regulations do not allow for horizontal headlamp adjustment unless the vehicle is equipped with a built-in aiming device.

Why it matters

Headlamps that are not properly adjusted could cause reduced visibility or glare for oncoming drivers, and increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install caps over the headlamp adjustment screws.

Transport Canada recall 2019522 · manufacturer campaign AKB8

16 October 2019

Transport Canada lists: Cayenne 2019–2020 · Panamera 2017–2018

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the red brake wear warning light may not come on when the brake pads require replacement. This can happen when the instrument cluster display is set to the Map or Night Vision mode. Canadian regulations require the warning indicator to stay on when the brakes are worn. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall 2019-078. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair.

Why it matters

Driving a vehicle with brakes that are worn out could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the instrument cluster software.

Why it matters

Transport Canada recall 2018722 · manufacturer campaign AJ13

20 December 2018

Transport Canada lists: Panamera 2017–2018 · Panamera 4 2017–2018

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a fault in the power steering system may cause an intermittent loss of steering assist without warning. A loss of power assist would result in a sudden, unexpected increase in steering effort, especially at low vehicle speeds. This could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will reprogram the power steering control unit software.

13 June 2018

Transport Canada lists: Panamera 2017–2018 · Panamera 4 2017–2018

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the rear-axle anti-roll bar connecting links could wear prematurely and cause a link to detach. A detached link could come in contact with other suspension parts and cause damage, which may affect vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

What the dealer will do
