Transport Canada recall 2025177 · manufacturer campaign PMA42

7 April 2025

Transport Canada lists: Kicks 2025

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the warnings reminding the driver to shift the transmission into Park (P) if the ignition is in the "OFF" position and the gear selector is not in the "P" position may not work. As a result, if the ignition is switched off and the gear selector is not in Park, the vehicle could move suddenly. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2024-782. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall don't require this repair.

Why it matters

A parked vehicle that moves suddenly could create the risk of an injury or a crash.

What the dealer will do

Nissan will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the body control module software.

Label

Transport Canada recall 2025155 · manufacturer campaign PD136 / PMA47

25 March 2025

Transport Canada lists: Kicks 2025

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the compliance label may list the wrong gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) and gross axle weight rating (GAWR) information. This could lead you to overload the vehicle and cause poor handling or a tire failure. Additionally, for certain SR trim models equipped with the optional 19-inch wheel package, the compliance label may list the wrong tire and rim sizes. As a result, when the rims and tires are replaced, the wrong rims and/or tires could be installed.

Why it matters

Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of vehicle control and result in a crash.

What the dealer will do

Nissan will mail a new compliance label to each owner. If you would like help to install it, you can contact a Nissan dealer to have it installed free of charge.
