What is wrong

On certain vehicles, moisture could enter the driver-side door lock microswitch and cause it to corrode. As a result, the microswitch may fail to automatically engage the parking brake and/or the auto park feature when the door is opened. If this happens, the vehicle could roll away. Note: This problem could also cause the radio and/or interior lights to remain on after exiting the vehicle.

Why it matters

A parked vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash.

What the dealer will do

To reduce the safety risk, Mercedes-Benz recommends that you should always use the parking brake when you park. Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the driver-side door lock.

Transport Canada lists: C 2023–2024 · Class 2023–2024 · Cle 2023–2024 · E 2023–2024 · and 6 more

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Mercedes-Benz dealer during recall 8297011 (Transport Canada recall no. 2024-105) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles, the 80 A fuse may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the fuse could overheat and fail. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels. This could also cause the instrument cluster not to work.

Why it matters

A fuse and wiring that overheats can create the risk of a fire. A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display could also increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the main fuse box.
