On certain cars, a metal bracket for the under-body cover may not be properly welded. This could cause the bracket to detach from the car while driving.

A problem with the automatic transmission could cause it to downshift suddenly. This may cause the rear wheels to slow abruptly and create a loss of vehicle stability.
