Transport Canada recall 2018706 · manufacturer campaign SRC R73
13 December 2018
Transport Canada lists: 570 2008–2019
What is wrong
On certain vehicles, the seat belt tension sensor wiring of the front passenger occupant classification system could fatigue and break over time. This could result in the front passenger airbag, knee airbag, and passenger seat-mounted side airbag to become deactivated, which in the event of crash, could increase the risk of injury to the occupant.
What the dealer will do
Dealers will modify or replace the front passenger seat belt assembly as necessary. Note: If the tension sensor wiring were to break it could cause the airbag warning light and the passenger airbag "OFF" indicator to illuminate.
