What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the wiring that connects the steering column rotary coupler (clockspring) to the driver's airbag module may fracture as a result of relative motion between the clockspring and the steering wheel hub. This may result in the deployment of only one stage of the dual stage airbag during a vehicle crash of sufficient severity, or cause the airbag to not deploy at all. Should the airbag module fail to deploy in the intended manner, it could increase the driver's risk of injury or death.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will insert alignment spacers into specific areas of the steering column.

What is wrong

Certain vehicles may have an incorrectly manufactured guide plate which could hinder the function of the transmission parking pawl. Consequently, PARK may not engage when the lever in the vehicle is moved to PARK and all indicators show PARK position is achieved. If the vehicle was parked on an incline of sufficient grade, and the parking brake was not engaged, the vehicle could roll away.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the parking pawl guide plate.

What is wrong

Certain vehicles may have been manufactured with a seat belt mounting buckle whose tensile strength is below the required standard. In the event of a crash, where the left hand second row seat belt is being used, the buckle may not be fully retained.

What the dealer will do

Land Rover has corrected all affected vehicles prior to distribution to dealers.
