What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the DC-DC converter could fail. As a result, the 12 V battery would not charge and a red "Stop Safely Electrical Fault Detected" warning message would be displayed. Note: This recall only affects certain mild hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV).

Why it matters

A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Exterior lights that don't work may make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash.
