What is wrong

On certain vehicles, an unused wiring harness for a rear HVAC blower motor, located in the left B-pillar area, could become damaged if exposed to moisture or contaminants. If this happens, the wires could short circuit. Note: This recall only affects cutaway chassis incomplete vehicles.

Why it matters

A short circuit can create the risk of a fire.

What the dealer will do

General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealership to seal the wiring for the rear HVAC blower motor at the left B-pillar.

What is wrong

On certain vehicles equipped with power windows, liquid can enter the power window switches causing corrosion and lead to a high electrical resistance. This could cause the switch to heat up, smoke or melt, which would increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the driver’s side window switch with a switch that has additional protection against liquid intrusion.
