Fuel System

Transport Canada recall 2025544 · manufacturer campaign N252531230

9 October 2025

Transport Canada lists: City 2015–2018

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the fuel tank temperature (FTT) sensor harness could become damaged by contact with the fuel pump connector and could short circuit. If this happens, the fuel pump fuse could blow and cause the engine to stall while driving.

Why it matters

A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and reroute the FTT harness or replace the fuel pump assembly, as necessary.

Transport Canada lists: City 2015–2016

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a defect in the occupant classification system could allow an adult sitting in the front passenger seat to be classified as a child or an “empty seat”. This would suppress the airbag, which could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the occupant classification system electronic control unit.
