What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the roll pins in the rear axle differential could fatigue and break over time. This could cause the rear wheels to lock up.

Why it matters

If this occurs while the vehicle is being driven, it could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the rear axle differential. It will be repaired or replaced as necessary.
