What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a circuit board in the power-steering assist’s power module could fail and could result in a sudden loss of electric power steering while driving. Steering control can be maintained, as the vehicle will revert to a manual steering mode, but will require greater driver effort. The sudden change in steering effort may increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the electric belt drive rack and pinion steering gear assembly.
