Transport Canada recall 2017639 · manufacturer campaign RA-07-0028

18 December 2017

Transport Canada lists: DB 9 2009–2016 · DBS 2009–2012 · Rapide 2010–2014 · Vanquish 2014 · and 1 more

What is wrong

On certain vehicles equipped with the 6-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission, the Engine Control Module software may not communicate correctly with the Transmission Control Module when the key is removed from the docking station. If this occurs, the transmission park pawl may not engage properly, which could result in unintended vehicle movement, increasing the risk of injury and/or property damage.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will update the Transmission Control Module software.

What is wrong

Certain vehicles fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 206 – Door Lock and Door Retention Components. These vehicles have a double locking feature that will not let the doors be opened by an occupant inside the vehicle unless the unlock button is pressed on the vehicle key. As a result, occupants may be at a greater risk of being locked in the vehicle in an emergency situation.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will update the vehicle’s software to disable the double locking feature.

Transport Canada recall 2014012 · manufacturer campaign RA-03-0017

21 January 2014

Transport Canada lists: DB 9 2012–2013 · DBS 2012–2013 · Rapide 2012–2013 · V 12 2012–2013 · and 3 more

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the accelerator pedal arm may fail. This would cause the throttle control to return to the idle position, causing a reduction in engine power and propulsive force. Loss of vehicle propulsion, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the driver’s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury.

What the dealer will do

Dealers will replace the accelerator pedal assembly and adjust the foot well scuff plate. Note: This recall supersedes recalls 2013185 and 2013367. Vehicles that were repaired under the previous campaigns will also need to be repaired under this campaign.
