What is wrong

On certain vehicles equipped with Bose audio systems that have separate speaker amplifiers mounted behind the rear seat back. Under high ambient temperature conditions, the amplifier circuit board could develop a short circuit due to electrolyte leakage from a capacitor mounted on the board. If a short circuit occurs, one or more transistors could overheat causing smoke or the possibility of an amplifier fire.

What the dealer will do

Dealer will replace the amplifier circuit board on affected vehicles.

What is wrong

DURING A MINOR FRONTAL COLLISION, THE ENGINE WILL ROCK FORWARD ON THE ENGINE MOUNTS. ALTHOUGH THERE MAY BE NO VISIBLE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE, THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE BRACKET MAY BE DAMAGED AND THE SHIFT LEVER INDICATED POSITION MAY NOT MATCH THE TRANSMISSION GEAR POSITION. THIS COULD RESULT IN UNANTICIPATED MOVEMENT OF THE CAR WHICH COULD LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT.

What the dealer will do

TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE WILL BE REPLACED WITH A LONGER CABLE AND ATTACHING HARDWARE.
