Transport Canada lists: Saf T 2026
On a small number of school buses, the entrance door may not open or close when using the door switch.
An entrance door that can't be opened or closed could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.

Transport Canada lists: Saf T 2026–2027
On certain school buses, the driver could unintentionally bump the door switch. As a result, the warning lights could turn off and the stop sign arm may retract.
Warning lights and a stop sign arm that don't work could increase the risk of injury for passengers getting on and off the bus.
Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a DTNA authorized service facility to update the electronic control module software.

On certain school buses, the wheelchair tie-down retractors may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the retractor(s) may not lock automatically. If this happens, the wheelchair may not be secured correctly and could move in a crash.
A wheelchair that moves in a crash could increase the risk of injury.
To reduce the safety risk, Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) recommends you confirm the wheelchair is secured properly by attempting to move it before driving until the recall repairs have been completed. DTNA will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, replace the wheelchair retractor(s).

Transport Canada lists: Saf T 2026
On a small number of school buses, the brake caliper mounting bolts may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the bolts could loosen and detach, causing reduced braking. UPDATE - After the company notified Transport Canada about this problem, they determined that there are no Canadian school buses affected by it. Accordingly, this safety recall was withdrawn.
Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.

Transport Canada lists: Saf T 2026
On certain school buses, the castle nut securing the tie rod may not have been tightened properly and/or the cotter pin may be missing. As a result, the nut could loosen and separate. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control.
A loss of steering control could increase the risk of a crash.
Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a DTNA authorized service facility to inspect and, if necessary, replace the tie rod.
