Good news: Recall repairs cost you nothing. Book with any manufacturer dealer and quote the recall number — they are required to do the work free of charge, with no time limit and regardless of how many owners the car has had.
Note: This lookup is by make, model and year, so it lists every recall issued for that vehicle — not all of which will apply to your exact build. A dealer can confirm what is outstanding on your VIN in a minute.

Transport Canada recall 2026260 · manufacturer campaign N262558671

28 May 2026

Transport Canada lists: Express 2026 · Savana 2026

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a component in the steering column may not have been manufactured properly. This could cause the transmission not to shift gears correctly when the shifter is moved. As a result, the gear shifter could feel like it is in one gear when the transmission is actually in another. This could cause sudden and unexpected vehicle movements. Note: This recall also affects certain cutaway chassis vehicles.

Why it matters

Sudden and unexpected movement of the vehicle could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

To reduce the safety risk, General Motors advises that you visually verify the gear selection in the instrument cluster when selecting a gear and always use the parking brake when parking until the recall repairs have been completed. General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the transmission control on the steering column.
