What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the body panels near the front shock absorber mounts may be missing welds. As a result, the shock absorber mounting areas could crack over time and break. If this happens, a shock absorber could separate and cause a sudden loss of vehicle stability.

Why it matters

A loss of vehicle stability could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Lexus will contact owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the spot-welds around the front shock absorber mounting areas. The corrective actions for this recall are under development.
