What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the high-pressure fuel pump could fail. If this happens, the engine may run rough and the check engine light may turn on. This could also cause a sudden loss of engine power while driving. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 6.7 L diesel engine.

Why it matters

A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the powertrain control module software.

What is wrong

On certain trucks, there may be a defect in the cap for the secondary fuel filter located in the engine compartment. Over time, a pinhole could develop and cause fuel to leak from the top of the fuel filter. Note: This recall only affects trucks with a 6.7 L diesel engine.

Why it matters

A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire.

What the dealer will do

Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the primary and secondary fuel filters.

What is wrong

On certain trucks, the underbody heat shields and other heat-protection components may be missing. As a result, the interior cabin floor and seat attachments could become hot during certain driving conditions. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with a 7.3 L gas engine.

Why it matters

If a person touches a hot floor or seat bolts, there could be a risk of a burn injury.

What the dealer will do

Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to install the missing underbody heat shield, thermal insulator patch under the floor mat, seat base covers, and seat bolt covers.
