What is wrong

On certain trucks, a software problem could cause the pedestrian warning system not to work properly. As a result, the vehicle may not produce enough sound when the vehicle is stationary. New Canadian regulations require electric vehicles to make a minimum sound level when the vehicle is stationary.

Why it matters

A pedestrian warning system that doesn't work properly could create an increased risk of injury for other road users.

What the dealer will do

General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to update the body control module software.
