Good news: Recall repairs are almost always free. Book with any manufacturer dealer and quote the recall number. Transport Canada’s own wording is that a manufacturer “will almost always make these repairs free of charge”, so being asked to pay for recall work is unusual and worth questioning. Since 2018 the Minister of Transport can order a company to pay for repairs so owners do not bear the cost.
Note: This lookup is by make, model and year, so it lists every recall issued for that vehicle — not all of which will apply to your exact build. A dealer can confirm what is outstanding on your VIN in a minute.

What is wrong

On certain motorhomes, a problem with brake pressure switch could cause the brake lamps to turn on without pressing the brake pedal.

Why it matters

Brake lamps that turn on without the brake pedal being pressed could cause others not to recognize when the motorhome is braking or not braking and increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Newmar will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a Spartan Service Center to replace the brake pressure switch.
