Good news: Recall repairs are almost always free. Book with any manufacturer dealer and quote the recall number. Transport Canada’s own wording is that a manufacturer “will almost always make these repairs free of charge”, so being asked to pay for recall work is unusual and worth questioning. Since 2018 the Minister of Transport can order a company to pay for repairs so owners do not bear the cost.
Note: This lookup is by make, model and year, so it lists every recall issued for that vehicle — not all of which will apply to your exact build. A dealer can confirm what is outstanding on your VIN in a minute.

Transport Canada recall 2026261 · manufacturer campaign SRC RM6 / SRC RM7

27 May 2026

Transport Canada lists: GX 550 2024 · UX 300h 2025 · Land Cruiser 2024–2025 · Mirai 2024

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the combination meter in the instrument cluster not to display when the vehicle is started. As a result, you may not be able to see certain information about the vehicle, including warning lights and malfunction tell-tales. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 12.3-inch display.

Why it matters

Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

The company will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the combination meter software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a dealership.

Transport Canada recall 2026241 · manufacturer campaign SRC RL0 / SRC RL1

20 May 2026

Transport Canada lists: LX 600 2023–2024 · GX 550 2024 · Tundra 2023–2024

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the engine may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, metal debris could cause the crankshaft bearings to fail. If this happens, the engine may run rough or may not start. This could also cause the engine to stall while driving. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 3.4L twin-turbo engine. This recall replaces Transport Canada recall No. 2025-614.

Why it matters

A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the No. 1 main bearing for abnormal wear and, if necessary, replace the engine.

Transport Canada recall 2025594 · manufacturer campaign SRC RK9 / SRC RL2

30 October 2025

Transport Canada lists: LX 600 2022–2025 · LX 700h 2022–2025 · ES 300h 2023–2025 · ES 350 2023–2025 · and 21 more

What is wrong

Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image to freeze or not to display. If this happens, the rearview image may not display when the transmission is shifted into reverse. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display when the vehicle is reversing. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a panoramic view monitor system.

Why it matters

A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

The company will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the parking assist ECU software.
