Good news: Recall repairs are almost always free. Book with any manufacturer dealer and quote the recall number. Transport Canada’s own wording is that a manufacturer “will almost always make these repairs free of charge”, so being asked to pay for recall work is unusual and worth questioning. Since 2018 the Minister of Transport can order a company to pay for repairs so owners do not bear the cost.
Note: This lookup is by make, model and year, so it lists every recall issued for that vehicle — not all of which will apply to your exact build. A dealer can confirm what is outstanding on your VIN in a minute.

Transport Canada recall 2026319 · manufacturer campaign 26C32

30 June 2026

Transport Canada lists: Mustang 2024–2026

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a problem with the windshield wiper motor could cause it not to work properly in cold temperatures. If this happens, the windshield wipers may only operate at their high-speed setting and the windshield washing system may not work.

Why it matters

Windshield wipers and a windshield washing system that don't work properly can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the windshield wiper motor.

Engine

Transport Canada recall 2026160 · manufacturer campaign 26S23

1 April 2026

Transport Canada lists: Mustang 2026

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, the circlips that secure the piston(s) to the connecting rod(s) may be missing or may not have been installed properly. As a result, the piston(s) could become damaged and cause the engine to fail. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 2.3 L engine.

Why it matters

A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.

What the dealer will do

None of the affected vehicles have been delivered to customers. Ford will instruct dealers to inspect and, if necessary, replace the engine before each vehicle is delivered.
