What is wrong

On certain trucks, the fuel tank strap(s) may not have been secured properly. As a result, the tank could fall and fuel could leak. If this happens, the engine could stall suddenly.

Why it matters

A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. Additionally, a fuel tank that separates from the truck could create a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash.

What is wrong

Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause part of the rearview camera image to be blocked. Canadian regulations require the full rearview image to display while the transmission is in reverse gear. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with an 8-inch display and 360-degree cameras.

Why it matters

A rearview camera image that is not fully displayed could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.

What is wrong

This recall is for certain integrated trailer modules that were installed before delivery or purchased from a dealer as an aftermarket accessory. On certain vehicles, a software problem with the integrated trailer module (ITRM) may cause the trailer lights not to work when towing. This problem could also cause the trailer brakes not to work on certain vehicles. Note: This problem would cause a "Trailer brake module fault" message to be displayed and turn signal telltale to flash rapidly.

Why it matters

Trailer lights that don't work could make the vehicle less visible and cause following drivers not to recognize that the vehicle is braking or intends to turn or change lanes. These issues could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a loss of trailer brakes could increase the risk of a crash.

What is wrong

What is wrong

On certain vehicles, a problem in the integrated park module could cause the park pawl not to engage when the transmission is shifted to the park (P) position. If this happens, the vehicle could move when it's parked, and the parking brake isn't used. Note: This problem would cause a wrench light and a shift system fault message to be displayed in the instrument cluster. For the Maverick, Escape and Corsair models, this recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 2.5 L hybrid engine. For the F-150 model, this recall only affects Lightning (electric) models.

On certain trucks, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 23S30 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-340) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain F-150 Lightning (electric) trucks, the rear lightbar could crack. If this happens, water could leak into the lightbar and cause the reverse lights not to work, or they could flicker. Note: This recall only affects trucks with the Platinum or Lariat trim package.

This is an expansion of recall 23S65 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-705).

What is wrong

On certain F-150 Lightning (electric) trucks, the nuts for the ball joints that connect the front upper control arms to the steering knuckles may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the upper control arms could separate from the knuckles. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2024-778. Vehicles that were repaired under that recall don't require this repair.

A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash.

What is wrong

On certain F-150 Lightning (electric) trucks, there could be a problem inside the high-voltage battery. As a result, the battery modules could overheat and short circuit.

Why it matters

A short circuit in the high-voltage battery can create a fire risk.

What the dealer will do

To reduce the safety risk, Ford recommends that you set the maximum charge setting of your vehicle at 80% until the recall repairs are completed. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and replace the high-voltage battery modules, as necessary.
